    <p>I just released version 1.0.0.dev8, which can be considered beta
      state.<br>
    </p>
    <p>Small features can still get into 1.0.0, bigger ones will go into
      1.1.<br>
    </p>
    <p>Concerning the branching changes see #1008 for a short summary.
      This is based on the discussion in #650.</p>
