lighttpd has disabled the ssl.use-compression config-key in upstream[1] 
and debian 7.0[2]

My setup:
lighttpd 1.4.31 / Debian 7.0
error.log:
"WARNING: unknown config-key: ssl.use-compression (ignored)"

Suggestion:
Add a comment to the lighttpd config chapter.
e.g.: #ssl.use-compression obsolete >= 1.4.31
